Jeff Rooks
Jeff Rooks is a Managing Director of Portfolio Operations of KPS Mid-Cap Investments ("KPS Mid-Cap"). KPS, through its affiliated management entities, is the manager of the KPS Special Situations Funds, a family of private equity funds with approximately $14.4 billion of assets under management (as of September 30, 2022) focused on making controlling equity investments in manufacturing and industrial companies across a diverse array of industries, including basic materials, branded consumer, healthcare and luxury products, automotive parts, capital equipment and general manufacturing.
KPS Mid-Cap focuses on investments in the lower end of the middle market that require up to $100 million of initial equity capital. KPS Mid-Cap targets the same type of investment opportunities and utilizes the same investment strategy that KPS’ flagship funds have for over two decades.
Prior to joining KPS in 2020, Mr. Rooks was a Director in the Enterprise Improvement Practice at AlixPartners where he led a number of turnaround and profit improvement projects. Mr. Rooks holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Missouri, an MBA from the University of Illinois, and an MSE in Industrial & Systems Engineering from the University of Michigan.
