Ryan Harrison
Ryan Harrison is a Partner and Co-Head of KPS Mid-Cap Investments ("KPS Mid-Cap"). KPS, through its affiliated management entities, is the manager of the KPS Special Situations Funds, a family of private equity funds with approximately $21.8 billion of assets under management (as of June 30, 2024), focused on making controlling equity investments in manufacturing and industrial companies across a diverse array of industries, including basic materials, branded consumer, healthcare and luxury products, automotive parts, capital equipment and general manufacturing.
KPS Mid-Cap focuses on investments in the lower end of the middle market that require up to $200 million of initial equity capital. KPS Mid-Cap targets the same type of investment opportunities and utilizes the same investment strategy that KPS’ flagship funds have for over two decades.
Mr. Harrison first became associated with KPS in 2005, and has extensive experience investing in the Americas and in Europe, having worked on transactions globally as an investment professional in both KPS’ New York and Frankfurt offices. Prior to joining KPS in 2005, Mr. Harrison was an investment banker at Credit Suisse.
Mr. Harrison currently serves on the Board of Directors of the following KPS portfolio companies: Hussey Copper (Chairman), Princess Yachts (Chairman), Siderforgerossi (Chairman), AIS Global, Metra and PEMCO. In addition, he previously served on the Board of Mid-Cap Fund I portfolio company IKG.
Mr. Harrison received his M.B.A. from the University of Cambridge (2009-2011, rejoining KPS in 2012) and graduated from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario with an Honors in Business Administration.
