Pierre de Villeméjane
Pierre de Villeméjane is a Partner and Co-Head of KPS Mid-Cap Investments ("KPS Mid-Cap"). KPS, through its affiliated management entities, is the manager of the KPS Special Situations Funds, a family of private equity funds with approximately $21.4 billion of assets under management (as of September 30, 2024), focused on making controlling equity investments in manufacturing and industrial companies across a diverse array of industries, including basic materials, branded consumer, healthcare and luxury products, automotive parts, capital equipment and general manufacturing.
KPS Mid-Cap focuses on investments in the lower end of the middle market that require up to $200 million of initial equity capital. KPS Mid-Cap targets the same type of investment opportunities and utilizes the same investment strategy that KPS’ flagship funds have for over three decades.
Mr. de Villeméjane has been associated with KPS since 2003, serving as Chief Executive Office of three KPS portfolio companies: Speedline Technologies, Inc., a leading supplier of high-tech equipment and service solutions used in the electronics industry worldwide, WWRD Holdings, LLC, a leading provider of luxury home and lifestyle products worldwide under the Waterford, Wedgwood, Royal Doulton, Royal Albert, and Rogaska brands, and Heritage Home Group LLC. Mr. de Villeméjane has led and managed global manufacturing, capital equipment, and luxury good and consumer companies, and has extensive experience in creating new companies to acquire businesses in connection with highly complex corporate carve-outs, as well as the acquisition of business or assets as a result of financial restructurings.
Mr. de Villeméjane was previously responsible for mergers & acquisitions and strategic planning for nearly nine years at Cookson Group plc, a UK publicly-listed, multi-billion dollar industrial conglomerate specializing in electronics, industrial ceramics and precious metals. Prior to that, Mr. de Villeméjane was responsible for global product management and marketing strategy of Kérastase, a global exclusive hair care brand of L’Oréal, the world’s largest cosmetics company.
Mr. de Villeméjane currently serves on the Board of Directors of the following KPS portfolio companies: AIS Global (Chairman), Catalyst Acoustics Group (Chairman), Metra (Chairman), PEMCO (Chairman), Hussey Copper, Princess Yachts and Siderforgerossi. In addition, he previously served on the Board of Mid-Cap Fund I portfolio company IKG. He previously served on the Board of Directors of Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia and is a former economic advisor to the French Ministry of Trade in Boston.
Mr. de Villeméjane graduated from Hautes Etudes Commericales (HEC), the leading business school in France, with a degree in Marketing and Finance.
