Transforming Manufacturing and Industrial Businesses

About KPS
KPS

One of the World's Leading and Differentiated Private Equity Firms

KPS makes controlling equity investments in global manufacturing and industrial companies across a diverse array of industries, including basic materials, branded consumer, healthcare and luxury products, automotive parts, capital equipment and general manufacturing.

We view ourselves as manufacturers and industrialists with approximately $21.8 billion of capital under management.  The Firm seeks to leverage over three decades of experience as owners to catalyze the creation of strong, industry-leading companies.

KPS seeks to create value for its investors by working constructively with what it believes to be strong management teams to make businesses better. KPS’ strategy is to generate investment returns by structurally improving the strategic position, competitiveness and profitability of its portfolio companies, rather than primarily relying on financial leverage.  KPS then seeks to grow its portfolio companies, both organically and through strategic acquisitions.  This buy-and-build strategy is pursued in furtherance of industry consolidation, and/or to expand into product, industry or geographic adjacencies.

KPS creates new companies to acquire assets or businesses from large corporations, businesses owned by families or entrepreneurs, and businesses presented for sale in connection with financial restructurings, including companies owned by former creditor groups.  KPS then seeks to transform these businesses into independent, strong, industry-leading enterprises.

KPS is a creative and trustworthy counterpart, capable of moving quickly, efficiently and confidentially.   KPS’ extensive track record demonstrates its ability to execute highly complex acquisitions on a global scale, and successfully operate large manufacturing and industrial companies.  KPS takes pride in its constructive approach with all stakeholders, including management teams, employees, customers, vendors and the communities in which its companies do business.

KPS owns and invests in a small number of portfolio companies and we believe each investment is critical to the Firm’s success.  KPS establishes true partnerships with its portfolio company management teams, who would share in any wealth creation resulting from its investments.

KPS holds itself, its portfolio companies and their employees to high standards of ethical and principled conduct.

KPS believes there are few private equity firms with its expertise, skill set, experience and reputation, that also have the ability to invest over $1 billion in a single investment.  KPS is seeking to capitalize on a space occupied by few private equity firms in the world.
