David Shapiro is a Co-Founder and Managing Partner of KPS Capital Partners, LP, and a member of its Investment Committee. KPS Capital Partners, LP is the manager of KPS Special Situations Funds, a family of private equity funds with approximately $5.5 billion of assets under management.

The KPS Funds' Portfolio Companies have aggregate annual revenues of approximately $3.9 billion, operate 87 manufacturing facilities in 23 countries, and employ approximately 38,000 associates, directly and through joint ventures worldwide.

Mr. Shapiro currently serves on the Board of Directors of the following KPS portfolio companies: American & EfirdChassis Brakes International GroupElectrical Components InternationalExpera Specialty SolutionsHeritage Home Group, and International Equipment Solutions.  In addition, Mr. Shapiro previously served on the Board of Directors of 23 former KPS portfolio companies, including as Chairman of eight.

Previously, Mr. Shapiro was an investment banker with Drexel Burnham Lambert and Dean Witter Reynolds. 

He received a B.A. in History from the University of Michigan with High Honors and an MBA with a Specialization in Finance from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.
