
Mr Hoey is a Partner, Administration and Chief Financial Officer of KPS Capital Partners. The KPS Funds are private equity funds with over $1.8 billion of committed capital focused on constructive investing in restructurings, turnarounds, bankruptcies and other special situations.
Mr. Hoey has over 20 years of experience in private equity. Prior to joining KPS in 2004, Mr. Hoey was the CFO of the Quantum Industrial Family of Funds, a private equity portfolio of funds with net assets valued in excess of $2.0 billion, managed by Soros Fund Management LLC. Prior to joining Soros, Mr. Hoey was the CFO of Stonington Partners, Inc. Mr. Hoey began his private equity career with General Atlantic Partners LP in 1987 where he served as Controller then Financial Officer.
Mr. Hoey earned a B.B.A. degree in Accountancy from the University of Notre Dame. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the AICPA, NY State Society of CPA's and Financial Executives International (FEI). Mr. Hoey also serves on the Executive Board of the Suffolk County Council - Boy Scouts of America.
